The worldwide Homenetmen organization consists of 5 chapters in Australia: Antranig, Ararat, Gamk, Navasart, and Arax. With the exception of the Arax Chapter, all other chapters are within the New South Wales area. The Antranig Homenetmen Chapter was the first to be established in Australia in 1965, followed by Navasart in 1973, Ararat in 1980, and Gamk in 1981.
Similar to other Homenetmen organizations, all the Australian chapters provide numerous activities such as scouting and sports for all ages. The largest chapter, Ararat, also oversees the Toomanian Saturday School which teaches Armenian language, culture and religion to youngsters. The Ararat Chapter is a joint collaboration with the worldwide Hamazkaine organization's Nairi Chapter, which puts on theatrical plays through its Hrashk Playgroup, and other cultural events such as dance and song concerts for the community. These two organizations also publish the most popular Armenian English magazine in the country: Garoon.
