Armenian Relief Society (ARS) in Toronto

Toronto "Roubina" chapter of the (Armenian Relief Society), serving the social and educational needs of the Armenian community in the Toronto area.

The chapter has roots going back to 1924 when it provided assistance to a group of orphans from Armenia, but was disbanded in the 1950s. It revived again in 1963 and celebrates this year as its official founding day. In 1979 the Armenian Day School, which the ARS oversees, was established.
