Historical Communities

Many Armenian communities in the Diaspora have come and gone over the years. India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Malaysia, and many other countries today contain very little or no Armenians from their historically Armenian populated enclaves. But in most of these places some trace has been left of the Armenian life that once was, whether it be a church, a cemetery, a street name, or a monument. This section summarizes those communities that once were.
