Friends of Armenia is a charity with the aim of helping the population of Armenia to recover from the problems created by the disintegration of the Soviet Union. The name of the charity comes from an 1857 charity established by a number of British dignitaries and public figures, whos aim was to assist the Armenian people after the Hamadyan massacres. The original foundation was active from 1857 to 1952.
