St. Gregory Armenian Apostolic Church (Western Diocese) was established as a group in 1947 and a church building was purchased in 1951. Due to the fast paced growth of the Armenian community of the area, the parish purchased a larger church in 1965, which was used until 2003. At this time, the church had once again outgrown its capacity, and decided on building a church of their own. The old church structure was demolished in 2003 and work on the new sanctuary began soon after. As of July 2006, the new church was still under construction, but scheduled to be completed in June of 2007.
