Turco-Persian Rug Co in Toronto, ON (Canada)
Another one of the long surviving Armenian rug merchants that sprouted
the rug business in Canada, Turco-Persian opened shop in
1906. The store was originally opened by Socrates Utudjian, an immigrant from Contantinople (Turkey), but was purchased by Gregory Kasparian in 1930. Today, Turco-Persian Rug Co. is still run by the Kasparian family and provides cleaning, repair, and a large showroom for sales. It is one of the few rug cleaners that boast the latest and greatest environmentally safe machinery for cleaning rugs.
